Volume 32:9
September 2015
"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."
Psalm 118:8 (KJV)

...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,...

(Romans 3:23 ESV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Romans 6:23 ESV)

...but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

(Romans 5:8 ESV)

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

(Romans 10:10-13 ESV)

Rescheduled safari to KU Natural History Museum

The Connection between

Blood Moons and the Shemitah

Note: Starting in October, this newsletter will be e-mailed on the 15th of the month.

Rescheduled safari

to

KU Natural History Museum

Because no one pre-registered for the originally scheduled date of our annual safari to the KU Natural History Museum in Lawrence, it was canceled.  However, since a number of individuals have indicated an interest in rescheduling the safari, we have done so.  Some have already signed up for the rescheduled event.

Our esteemed safari guides, Kevin Anderson and Bob Farwell, have offered to lead a group tour to the museum, with fossil hunts along the way.  The rescheduled date is September 26th, 2015 (the last Saturday in September).

If you would like to go, we encourage you to please sign up.  We will contact you if it is cancelled or rescheduled.   Please sign up at:

October Monthly Meeting

October 1st, 2015

"Genesis, Babel, and the Chinese Language" DVD

by Dr. Andy McIntosh

Moderated by Bob Farwell

What evidence do we have today that Noah’s flood and the confusion of tongues at Babel were real, historical events?

In this video, Dr. Andy McIntosh reveals astonishing findings which dramatically demonstrate that such biblical subjects as a Creator God, the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, original sin, Noah’s flood, and the dispersion of peoples at Babel (Genesis chapters 1 through 11) are vividly recorded within the written language of ancient China, in the form of ideographic characters.

The Connection between

Blood Moons and the Shemitah

by Douglas Roger Dexheimer

Super blood moon warning: Have cash on hand.

The man who discovered the existence of the blood-moons tetrad phenomenon is concerned people haven't been paying attention.

Three of the rare lunar events have already taken place, and the final “super blood moon” is only weeks away (September 28, 2015), as of this writing .1

Pastor Mark Biltz, the messianic teacher who brought our attention to the upcoming lunar eclipses, a.k.a. blood moons, has made the news again.

As we’ve said in previous articles in this newsletter, the LORD created the Sun, Moon and stars for a purpose:

And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years."  Genesis 1:14.

Biltz said celestial signs such as eclipses occurring on Jewish holy days are vital to understanding the importance of God's timetable and calendar.

"We are on the verge of witnessing something historic," said Biltz, who discovered the blood moons phenomenon in 2007.2

Another messianic leader, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, who is the author of several best-selling Christian books, including  The Harbinger, and The Shemitah, makes a connection between the destruction of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and a passage in Isaiah.  He points out that modern America has been through two previous devastating economic events that followed closely after the events of 9/11.

Sept. 17, 2001, was the beginning of the economic calamity associated with 9/11 when, two days earlier, Lehman Brothers, one of the nation’s largest financial firms, collapsed. Sept. 17, 2001, was Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar. Likewise, Sept. 29, 2008 marked the next big crash. Sept. 29, 2008 fell on Elul 29.

The No. 1 bestselling Christian book in America over the last three years, Cahn's "The Harbinger," points out that America’s two greatest financial shakings occurred on successive Hebrew Shemitah years following the 9/11 Islamic terror attacks on the U.S., the key to the series of limited judgments the author sees as a result of America’s turning away from God just as ancient Israel did before the dispersion.

While Cahn prefers not to speculate on what, if anything, might befall America on Sept. 13, 2015, it will be the next Shemitah year – which occurs on Elul 29 every seven years on the Hebrew calendar. It is a time when debts are to be forgiven and the land, in the agricultural communities of ancient Israel, was to be given a rest.3

What is the importance of the Shemitah?  The Israeli government has set aside $29 million in preparation for this sabbatical year, or Shemitah.  They understand the importance of the commandment to rest the land.

This Shemitah year on the biblical calendar began Sept. 25, 2014 – Rosh Hashanah, the civil new year.

The new Shemitah budget went to the (Israeli) Religious Affairs Ministry, which intended to use a portion of the funds for promotional materials, and educational assistance for farmers wishing to honor the commandment. Another small portion of the budget will be used for the special ceremony that marks the end of the Shemitah year Sept. 13, 2015 or Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar. That ceremony will take place at the Western Wall, in Jerusalem during Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles.

The bulk of the appropriated funds will be used to support farmers who will suffer loss of income, but who nevertheless, choose to keep the Shemitah, allowing their fields to lie fallow in obedience to God’s law.4

A sidenote for calendar aficionados:  This issue of the CSAMA newsletter is scheduled for publication/distribution on Saturday, September 12, 2015, which is the day before the end of the Shemitah year.  Read fast, and check your international news for late breaking events.  This information may already be old by the time you read this.

Biltz, while explaining that he was merely studying biblical patterns when he discovered the "blood moons" phenomenon, said a new economic collapse could be looming in 2015. Prior collapses in 2001 and 2008 coincided with Jewish feasts at the end of seven-year cycles.5

The bottom line of Mark Biltz’s recent proclamations is, "Get ready for something big.” Forget what he said before about their heralding “economic turmoil” -- he's now warning of economic collapse!

So many signs in the market, in the heavens, as well as when they are occurring on the biblical calendar point to the possibility of a coming economic collapse. This collapse could very well culminate around the timing of the super blood moon this coming Sept. 28.6

Have you ever heard, "a word to the wise is sufficient"?  You can take all the above as a report on an interesting celestial occurrence, you can prepare for an economic disaster, or anything in-between.  The choice is yours.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

(Titus 2:11-14 ESV)

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,...

(Acts 3:19 ESV)

...yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

(Galatians 2:16 ESV)

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(Philippians 2:9-11 ESV)
